Key Responsibility Areas:
•Attends to the final preparation of bench / forthwith warrants of arrest. •Maintenance of a filing system. •Attends to the dispatch of all signed warrants of arrest. •Attends to the preparation / control of witness subpoenas / warnings. •Attends to queries in respect of warrants of arrest and court cases. •Maintains the manual register of notices issued in terms of Section 72 of the Criminal Procedures Act (warrants executed). •Controls and administers the recall of warrants of arrest. •Attends to the general administration of warrants of arrest returned by enforcement agencies. •Issues indemnity notices to members of public whose warrants have been cancelled but sent to SAPS/uniform staff for execution. •Attends to office supplies such as office stationery, cleaning materials etc.
