You’ll play an important role in creating the fresh, friendly, and welcoming shopping experience Farm Boy is known for. With a customer-first mindset and attention to detail, you’ll connect with shoppers, support daily store operations, and ensure every checkout interaction is smooth and memorable. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out:
Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service that reflects Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
Welcome, greet, and assist customers while processing purchases efficiently and accurately, including scanning items, bagging orders, and collecting tenders using Farm Boy Service Standards.
Share your knowledge and passion for Farm Boy products while assisting customers with questions and product information.
Learn and apply product codes quickly and accurately to ensure timely checkout service.
Handle all cash and tender transactions responsibly, including balancing tills and maintaining payment accuracy.
Support store operations by answering and directing incoming phone calls as needed.
Assist with the safe handling and sale of alcohol at applicable locations (Smart Serve certification required or willingness to obtain).
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work, storage, and front-of-store areas through general housekeeping duties, including cart retrieval from the parking area.
Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
Support the team with additional duties on a periodic basis.
Qualifications

Retail experience is considered an asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
For locations selling alcohol: a minimum age of 18 years and successful completion of Smart Serve certification (or willingness to complete).
The ability to work independently with attention to detail and pride in delivering quality results and maintaining cleanliness standards.
A collaborative, team-oriented approach supported by strong communication and organizational skills.
Strong mathematical ability with a high degree of accuracy when processing transactions and handling tenders.
Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, repetitive movement or tasks, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
