Location Bangkok Satellite Creative Centre

Reporting to Regional Head , F&B APAC

Purpose

Develop winning fragrances in areas of specialization. Work internally with commercial and development teams to build market and consumer understanding. Represent Givaudan with key clients. Actively support global and regional initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

• Rework formulas chosen from Fragrance Gallery , to be submitted on L&R briefs, targeting highest efficiency through a minimum of modifications.

• Upon request of evaluation, work independently and collaboratively, linking with originating perfumer where needed, to adapt winning fragrance themes for various bases, price points and norms.

• In support of Gallery managers and category teams, contribute to pro-actively fill olfactive gaps in the Gallery, e.g. market types.

• In your role of cross category activation perfumer, support category teams of perfumers, development and sales, if and when needed on (long tail) L&R customers.

Academic Background

• University Degree preferred science/chemistry or other suitable field of study

• Verbal and written command of English

• Proficiency in one or more additional languages is an asset

• Basic proficiency using common PC applications

Professional Experience

• Successful and consistent career at a Perfumer II level, having reached and exceeded corresponding performance objectives.

• Strong and proven track record of wins in given area(s) of specialization.

• Starts to be considered as an ingredient and formulation expert in given area(s) of specialization.

• Successful and consistent career as Perfumer, with mastery of all corresponding skills required, or equivalent background

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Perfumer

Technical Skills - Fragrance Creation, Ingredients & Formulation

• Demonstrates ability to develop, manage and constantly enrich a portfolio of winning themes and perfumes from the gallery

• Demonstrates a sound base of technical skills, competencies and knowledge in area(s) of specialty

• Demonstrates a sound knowledge of specialties and captives as well as of relevant technologies.

• Demonstrates ability to apply fragrance creations to other categories.

Systems, Processes, RAPS/Legislation

• Masters all relevant systems, processes and has a sound knowledge of RAPS and the legislative framework.

General Business Skills

• Competent at managing own project portfolio, setting priorities and managing resources involved in projects

• Competent to work effectively with all departments in development process on a regional and global level

• Develop ability to work collaboratively in the modification process (P2P)
