YOUR PURPOSE
The Vice President of Treasury leads the Credit Union’s asset-liability management, liquidity and funding strategy, investment portfolio management, and related financial risk activities. Serving as a strategic advisor to the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Management, this position develops and implements recommendations related to interest-rate risk, pricing, capital deployment, and loan purchase or participation strategies, and leads the Treasury function in alignment with the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, strategic priorities, and financial objectives.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Treasury Management, Strategy & Execution
Directly and in collaboration with Key Stakeholders, provide expertise on liquidity risk, market risk, Interest Rate Risk (IRR), pricing, portfolio management, policies, and strategies which support the financial position of the credit union.
Responsible for managing credit union assets and liabilities to mitigate financial risks.
Responsible for analytical research, data gathering, calculations, modeling, forecasting, and stress testing.
Serve as a partner and/or advisor to the management team, evaluating and assisting them with financial modeling, forecasting, pricing strategies and balance sheet management.
Communicate and partner with CFO to support and drive investment and funding decisions as well as develop portfolio strategies.
Managing investment and liquidity funding portfolios.
Cash management and liquidity strategy including managing wholesale borrowings and contingent liquidity sources.
Oversee capital markets area and make recommendations for appropriate hedging strategies.
Lead the preparation and presentation of decision-oriented analyses for Senior Management, ALCO, the Deposit Pricing Committee, and other stakeholders, including financial risk monitoring, forecasting, stress testing, pricing analysis, and strategic recommendations.
Support Budget planning, monitoring and oversight; provides input on asset and liability growth targets and needs to support budget and balance sheet management goals.
Monitors Department, Investment, or other policies and procedures and recommend and implement improvements.
Monitor and anticipate changes in the regulatory environment, economy or within the organization. Make recommendations for responding to emerging or changing trends affecting ALM, capital or liquidity funding. • Cultivates Innovation: Creates new and better ways for the organization to be successful.

Appropriate partnering with treasury related vendors.
Responsible for serving as point of contact as appropriate regarding all Treasury functions.
Ensure that treasury activities are in compliance with established legal, regulatory, and Credit Union procedures and expectations.
Responsible for all major service contracts, activities and vendor management in areas of responsibility.
Design and monitor overall strategies for success, progress, efficiency optimization and targeted business results.
Supports project and other related work needs, such as mergers.

COMPENSATION

Our pay values are reflected in our compensation philosophy which rewards individual performance and the potential to contribute to our teams’ overall success long-term.
The full pay range for this position across all the states in which we hire is $160,937 to $273,593. The figures shown represent the minimum and maximum of the range for this role. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate’s experience, education, and skill level.

EXPERTISE YOU NEED
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, statistics, decision science, or another related field. Minimum eight years of treasury or liquidity management/risk experience to include five years of management experience and successfully leading and guiding a key organizational relevant business unit at a senior level. Experience with liquidity stress testing, risk management and/or asset-liability management within complex financial organization preferred. Related work experience may substitute for education. Finance background, capital markets, investment and balance sheet management experience required.
