Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Director, Corporate Technology Operations & Strategic Programs to manage day-to-day operations, support, and continuous improvement of key Corporate Technology systems, while also supporting strategic initiatives.
This role is approximately 70% focused on operational ownership and 30% focused on strategic programs, AI, automation, and analytics. The ideal candidate is a hands-on business-technology leader who understands finance and real estate workflows, works effectively with IT, data teams, vendors, and business stakeholders, and translates business needs into practical system, reporting, and process improvements.
This person will serve as a trusted partner to IT Technology leadership and operate with increasing independence, including representing the function in selected meetings, vendor discussions, and workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Technology Operations — 70%
Manage daily operations of key Corporate Technology systems, tools, reports, workflows, and related business processes. Serve as a primary business point of contact for users across Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Underwriting, Operations, Data Science, Legal, IT, and other cross-functional teams.
Support systems and processes related to finance, acquisitions, development, underwriting, capital projects, asset management, accounting reporting, workflow management, and other core corporate activities.
Own intake, prioritization, tracking, and resolution of system issues, enhancement requests, data questions, reporting needs, access requests, and user support items. Work with users to assess business impact, define urgency, and coordinate resolution with IT, vendors, and internal support teams.
Translate business issues into clear requirements, support tickets, enhancement requests, testing plans, or project actions. Maintain visibility into open issues, aging tickets, vendor follow-ups, dependencies, release schedules, and unresolved decisions.
Coordinate with vendors, Data Science, Security, Finance Systems, Accounting, Operations, and other internal technology partners. Track vendor performance, open tickets, production issues, releases, service levels, and upcoming enhancements.
Support vendor reviews, SLA monitoring, access changes, testing cycles, release planning, and production rollout activities. Ensure vendors and technology teams understand business priorities, operational urgency, downstream impacts, and user expectations.
Support the reliability and usability of system data, reports, dashboards, workflows, integrations, and business outputs. Partner with business and technical teams to identify data quality issues, root causes, remediation needs, and process gaps.
Support testing and validation when new reports, automations, integrations, workflows, enhancements, or system changes are introduced. Help ensure outputs are accurate, explainable, controlled, and usable for business decisions.
Develop operating routines, including issue logs, enhancement backlogs, status updates, release notes, user communications, support documentation, and stakeholder check-ins.
Strategic Programs & Transformation — 30%
Support selected strategic initiatives across Real Estate & Finance Technology, AI, automation, analytics, system modernization, and process improvement. Help evaluate opportunities to improve speed, accuracy, scalability, controls, user experience, and decision-making across real estate workflows.
Translate broader business needs into clear project scopes, requirements, timelines, risks, success metrics, and decision points. Support initiatives related to acquisitions, development, review, reporting, property systems, data products, and workflow automation.
Support pilots, proof-of-concepts, vendor evaluations, business cases, implementation planning, and rollout of new tools. Help define use cases, data requirements, testing plans, validation methods, success metrics, and adoption plans.
Prepare executive-ready materials, including status updates, issue summaries, business cases, roadmap updates, decision documents, implementation plans, and steering committee materials. Synthesize details into clear recommendations, risks, trade-offs, and next steps.
