The Accountant II performs general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations, while researching and resolving financial discrepancies. They also participate in monthly and year-end closing processes and conduct budget-to-variance analysis to support financial operations.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and at least 2 years of relevant work experience. Proficiency in financial reporting, data analytics tools, and a strong understanding of GAAP are required for this role.

Accounting Department highlights:
· Our group supports 31 entities and over 380 free standing clinics.
· We work directly with entity CFOs, CEOs, Facilities Development, Engineering, Supply Chain and Real Estate groups to ensure the capital process follows GAAP and our extended team stays well informed.
· We help grow and support Texas Health Resources to be the strongest regional healthcare system in North Texas
What You Will Do:
Performs general ledger accounting including maintaining general ledger accounts; preparing and reviewing journal entries; and account reconciliations. Researches and resolves discrepancies. 30%25
Participates in monthly and year-end close by gathering and analyzing data to accurately prepare and report financial information. 20%25
Conducts general budget to variance analysis. 20%25
Addresses relevant accounting questions from financial planning and financial operations. 20%25
