Your Impact

As a key member of the Government Relations and Public Policy team, the Senior Manager Government Relations, India will be based in Mumbai, and will report to the Associate Vice President Government Relations, working closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:

• You will lead AirTrunk's Government engagement strategy in India to ensure we proactively develop and maintain positive relationships with key external stakholders and that our reputation as a trusted industry leader and investor in the country continues to strengthen and grow.
• Build long-term trust with government stakeholders at both central and state levels, and assist on business development.
• Position AirTrunk as a credible, long-term investor aligned with India’s digital and sustainability priorities.

What you'll do

• Develop and deliver proactive engagement plans with key government stakeholders including identifying engagement opportunities for the company's leaders.
• Represent AirTrunk in working level government meetings with officials, ministerial contacts, industry stakeholders and not for profit organisations.
• Monitor government policy developments affecting AirTrunk’s business.
• Identify current and future policy and regulatory risks for AirTrunk’s operations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop policy positions aligned to AirTrunk’s strategic objectives
• Advocate to government and policy makers AirTrunk’s position which is well informed by research and analysis of policy issues relevant to the business.
• Attend relevant industry events and meetings and represent the business with external industry bodies including participating in relevant working groups and committees.
• Represent AirTrunk in industry associations and third party alliances to advance AirTrunk’s policy positions and reputation within Malaysia.
• Manage local Government Relations consultants and other vendors to support AirTrunk’s policy advocacy.
• Provide local knowledge and insight to the broader Corporate Affairs function, Energy  and wider AirTrunk teams.

What You'll Bring

• 10+ years experience in a policy, political or government role. This might include in the private sector or in a parliamentary or ministerial office, or Government department.
• Strong understanding of internal workings of government, including political or parliamentary processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional project management skills and experience in working in cross-functional teams.
• A high degree of autonomy, drive and resilience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and capacity to prioritise conflicting tasks.
