The Product Development Chemist will lead the technical development of new formulations from concept through commercialization while conducting independent laboratory experiments. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot formulation challenges and ensure successful product launches.
Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in formulation chemistry, particularly within the cleaning and hygiene industry, is required.

We are looking for a Product Development Chemist to support the development of innovative disinfectants and detergent solutions. In this role, you will transform early-stage concepts into robust, scalable products that deliver value to customers worldwide.
This is a hands-on position for a chemist who enjoys experimentation, takes ownership of projects, and wants to remain closely connected to the laboratory while contributing to innovation and business decisions.
Lead the technical development of new formulations from concept through commercialization
Design, execute, and interpret laboratory experiments independently
Optimize product performance through systematic testing and scientific analysis
Troubleshoot formulation challenges and develop practical solutions
Generate reliable data to support key project decisions
Explore new technologies, ingredients, and formulation approaches
Support innovation projects focused on cleaning and hygiene solutions
Review technical literature and emerging technologies
Contribute to intellectual property and patent-related activities where relevant
Work closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Innovation teams
Present technical findings and recommendations to project stakeholders
Communicate risks, opportunities, and development progress clearly
Support successful product launches and commercialization activities
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
7+ years of progressive experience in formulation chemistry, preferably within Institutional Cleaning and Hygiene or adjacent industries
Strong understanding of formulation chemistry and raw material functionality
Proven ability to independently design and execute experiments
Strong laboratory skills and a hands-on mindset
Ability to lead technical workstreams within cross-functional projects
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent English
Knowledge of biocides, disinfectants, or regulatory frameworks such as BPR or EPA
Experience with Design for Six Sigma methodologies
Work on innovative products used by customers around the world
Combine hands-on laboratory work with strategic product development
Be part of multidisciplinary innovation teams
Influence products from concept through market launch
