Full job description
Company Overview:
At Enseo, we’re redefining what hospitality technology can be.
We provide the technology for modern hospitality — helping hotels across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico deliver personalized digital guest experiences while simplifying operations behind the scenes. Our solutions enable hotel teams to improve guest satisfaction, operate more efficiently, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
From in-room entertainment and reliable connectivity to guest engagement and property-wide insights, Enseo’s platform supports some of the most recognized hotel brands in the industry. Our technology powers more than 84 million guest experiences each year across over 330,000 rooms.
Position Overview:
The Vice President of Product owns Enseo's in-room entertainment and managed network product lines. This role is accountable for what Enseo sells, how it is packaged and priced, what it costs to deliver at the property level, and what is required for hotel brands and ownership groups to certify it for deployment. The VP defines product direction and requirements; Systems Engineering implements and deploys against those requirements. The role therefore succeeds through specification quality, technical credibility, and cross-functional influence rather than through direct engineering authority. The VP partners with Systems Engineering, Field Operations, Customer Support, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Finance, and is measured on recurring revenue attach, product margin, certification delivery, specification quality, and the commercial performance of both portfolios.
What You’ll Do
Product Strategy and Portfolio Governance
Define and maintain the multi-year roadmap for both product lines, sequenced against the bookings plan, certification milestones, and margin targets
Own platform lifecycle decisions including rationalization, migration paths, and end-of-life planning across the deployed base
Build investment cases for major product spend with stated payback and reporting against outcomes
Evaluate emerging technologies, partnerships, and adjacent capability against portfolio fit and delivery cost
Maintain portfolio-level visibility on cost, margin, adoption, and technical debt for executive reporting
In-Room Entertainment
Own the entertainment platform roadmap including guest-facing experience, device platforms, and smart display integrations
Own display and set-top hardware strategy including supplier qualification, cost negotiation, transition planning, and bill of materials management
Manage content and streaming partnerships and the commercial terms supporting them
Define guest engagement capability including casting, in-room information and messaging, and the analytics that demonstrate value to owners and operators
Ensure platform design reflects installation efficiency, supportability, and total cost of ownership across the deployed base
Grow recurring service attach on entertainment hardware sales through packaging and commercial structure
Managed Network and High-Speed Internet Access
Architecture and Standards
Own standard network reference architectures by property archetype, each with a defined bill of materials, deployment model, and target margin
Set network platform standards across the supported vendor estate, including cloud-managed and controller-based deployment models
Define wireless design standards covering coverage, capacity, and RF planning across guest rooms, corridors, public space, meeting space, and outdoor areas
Define wired standards covering segmentation, addressing, power over Ethernet planning, switching, and cabling infrastructure
Maintain the hardware qualification pipeline as vendor platforms and wireless standards advance
Guest Access and Security
Define guest access capability including authentication, bandwidth tiering, device isolation, and conference and event services
Define network segmentation and security requirements to customer and PCI standards
Own the product side of customer security review, penetration test remediation, and security documentation
Service Economics
Own the fully loaded delivery cost model and the pricing structure built on it, in partnership with Finance
Own bandwidth and circuit economics including sizing methodology, carrier and aggregator relationships, redundancy design, and cost per room
Managed Service Productization
Define the managed service offering including monitoring coverage, proactive fault detection, and customer-facing reporting
Define service level commitments and the measurement methodology behind them
Define the data structure and support taxonomy required to report against service level commitments, in partnership with Customer Support
Establish managed services as a distinctly packaged, separately priced offering rather than an unpriced attachment to hardware
Brand Certification and Standards Programs
Serve as the single accountable owner for customer technology certification programs across both product lines
Own the technical content of RFI and RFP responses and the product commitments made within them
Maintain the certification calendar and its dependencies to the bookings plan, with visible status to the executive team
Ensure product design anticipates certification, security, and brand standards requirements rather than remediating after submission
Build and maintain relationships with brand technology organizations as the standing product counterpart
Packaging, Pricing and Commercial
Own product packaging, pricing structure, and recurring revenue attach strategy with Sales, Marketing and Finance
Establish pricing discipline that indexes to underlying cost movement rather than fixed escalation alone
Support configure-price-quote and itemized quoting initiatives so quoted and realized margin can be compared by line
Partner with Sales Engineering on technical feasibility and cost alignment during scope development
Maintain product content, positioning, and competitive differentiation in partnership with Marketing
Engineering Interface and Deployment Readiness (Influence-Based Model)
Translate product direction into requirements and specifications of sufficient quality that Systems Engineering can implement without rework or interpretation
Establish and maintain the requirements intake, prioritization, and acceptance process with Systems Engineering
Own design-to-deployment handoff standards and documentation requirements so field teams receive complete, buildable packages
Define product acceptance criteria and deployment readiness gates for new product introductions and major releases
Partner with Field Operations and Project Management so product decisions reflect actual installation cost, labor content, and first-time quality
Partner with Customer Support on supportability, known-issue management, and support readiness ahead of release
Operate effectively without direct engineering authority, earning technical credibility with Systems Engineering as the primary means of influence
Customer and Market Engagement
Represent the product portfolio directly to hotel brands, ownership groups, management companies and strategic customers
Serve as the product voice in customer business reviews, executive briefings, and competitive pursuits
Maintain structured competitive and market intelligence across both product lines
Represent customer and field requirements in internal prioritization forums with evidence rather than anecdote
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
Establish the product reporting cadence covering roadmap status, certification milestones, attach rate, margin by line, and cost per room
Build executive-level reporting suitable for COO, executive team, and board reporting cycles
Drive continuous improvement against top cost drivers, top defect categories, and top support volume drivers
Build the Product function over time, defining roles and sequencing hires as portfolio scope justifies

Recurring Revenue Attach Rate on New Bookings
Product Gross Margin by Line, Quoted versus Realized
Fully Loaded Cost per Room by Product Line
Certification Milestones Delivered on Committed Date
Managed Services Revenue as a Share of Recurring Revenue
Roadmap Commitment Accuracy
Specification Quality (requirements accepted by Systems Engineering without rework)
Deployment Readiness Gate Pass Rate for New Product Introductions
Platform Rationalization Progress against the Deployed Base
Product-Attributable Support Volume and Defect Trend
Win Rate on Technically Qualified Pursuits

Hands-on working knowledge of enterprise wireless, switching, and edge security platforms (Ruckus, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, Juniper Mist, or comparable) across both cloud-managed and controller-based deployments
Experience productizing a managed or operated service including monitoring coverage, service level definition, and customer-facing reporting
Hardware lifecycle ownership including supplier qualification, cost negotiation, end-of-life transitions, and bill of materials management
Direct accountability for a gross margin or P&L line, with a demonstrated structural margin improvement the candidate designed and delivered
