The Project Administrator manages administrative and field staff for road and bridge construction projects, focusing on progress estimates and daily work report approvals. They are also responsible for coordinating project progress meetings and assisting in the pursuit of new projects.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and either two years of relevant engineering experience with a degree or eight years of CEI/roadway construction experience. Specific FDOT and CTQP certifications are required or must be obtained within six months of hire.
WSP is seeking a Project Administrator to join our Construction Management team in Orlando, FL.
Job Duties:
Receiving general instructions regarding assignments and exercising initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.
Directing and assigning specific tasks to administrative and field staff and assisting in all phases of the construction project.
Progress estimates and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.
Oversight of field staff on CEI projects
Assist in materials sampling and testing tracking in MAC
Daily work reports review/approval in PRC
Assisting in generating monthly pay estimate
Assisting in shop drawing and plans reviews
Assisting in pursuit of projects
Coordinate and hold project progress meetings
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbally and in writing)
High school diploma or equivalent
For personnel with Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management degrees:
Two (2) years of engineering experience in relevant transportation projects.
A master's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience.
For personnel without Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management degrees:
Eight (8) years of CEI, roadway or bridge construction experience.
Two (2) of those years involved in relevant transportation projects.
Qualification/Certifications
For this position, qualifications/certifications, may be obtained within six (6) months from the date of hire provided that this position works under supervision and direction of a Senior Project Engineer, all other requirements for the position are met, and a training plan is submitted detailing when the qualifications/certifications will be obtained.
