In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: • Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable full-stack solutions that support ETF technology platforms and critical business workflows. • Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams to deliver reliable technology outcomes. • Contribute to modernization initiatives across Java, microservices, APIs, front-end applications, data integration, and DevOps delivery practices. • Drive engineering quality through clean code, automated testing, code reviews, secure development practices, and disciplined release execution. • Support production stability by troubleshooting complex issues, performing root cause analysis, improving observability, and reducing operational risk. • Help improve platform resiliency, scalability, maintainability, and performance through thoughtful design and continuous improvement. • Apply AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity, accelerate delivery, and enhance software quality in a responsible manner. • Communicate effectively with technology and business partners, providing clear updates, raising risks early, and contributing to successful project execution.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot technologies, including Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Batch, Spring Events, and Spring Boot Actuator, microservices, APIs, front-end development, relational databases, automated testing, and enterprise application delivery.
Practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude and Windsurf to accelerate delivery, improve engineering quality, support testing, enhance troubleshooting, and drive productivity while applying AI-driven development practices responsibly within the software development lifecycle.
The candidate should demonstrate strong engineering judgment, ownership, collaboration, delivery discipline, and the ability to contribute effectively in a VP-level technology role supporting business-critical platforms.
Strong proficiency in designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices, including relational database integration using Hibernate and JPA, secure authentication patterns using OAuth2 and JWT, and Spring Cloud components such as Eureka, Config Server, and API Gateway.
Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering practices, with hands-on exposure to tools such as Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes for build, deployment, container orchestration, and operational readiness. Familiarity with Grafana and Prometheus for observability and monitoring is preferred.
4+ years of experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) with a solid understanding of unit testing and mocking frameworks such as Mockito and JUnit. Exposure to Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using tools like Cucumber is a plus.
2+ years of experience in functional testing of enterprise applications, contributing to end-to-end quality assurance and validation processes.
Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and iterative development cycles to deliver high-quality software in a collaborative environment.
3+ years of experience in developing transactional systems using leading RDBMS platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, with a strong focus on performance and data integrity.
Ability to drive delivery across the full software development lifecycle, partnering with product, business, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable, and well-tested technology solutions.
Experience building and supporting enterprise platforms, with emphasis on scalability, resiliency, performance, maintainability, controls, and production stability in a regulated financial services environment.
Hands-on experience developing microservices-based applications, applying best practices for modular design, service discovery, fault tolerance, inter-service communication, and operational resilience.
Demonstrated experience with production support, performance troubleshooting, and incident resolution, including root cause analysis, system tuning, monitoring, and proactive risk reduction to support business-critical applications.
