Responsibilities
JOBSUMMARY
The Service Tech 4 – HVACperforms maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This positionis responsible fortroubleshooting complex HVAC issues, guiding junior technicians, and ensuring systems are running efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides service to the customer base by repairing and overhauling equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe,efficientandtimelymanner that exceeds the customer’s expectations.
Provides repair work on refrigeration,heatingand ventilation equipment, such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces,compressorsand electric motors in a safe andtimelymanner.
Provides preventative maintenance activities for customers by diagnosing equipment malfunction and any operating deficiency of the mechanical equipment to ensure quality work performance for the customer base.
Provides department support by processing job tickets, work orders to the necessary department in a timely manner.
Provides necessary training to new or less qualified technicians as needed.
Maintains proper truck inventory continuously and drives companyvehiclein a safe manner.

Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Training
High school diploma or GED, equivalent work experience and trade or technical school classes.
Must have passed Tech Skills level 4 withan 80% or better.
Valid EPA certificate.
Work Experience/Skills
3-5 years’ experience in construction HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related industry.
Must have chiller experience.
Experience in troubleshooting electrical control systems isrequired.
Knowledge of hand and power tools.
Knowledge of refrigeration equipment and piping of refrigeration equipment.
Knowledge ofcomputer-controlledsystems.
Ability to read and understand refrigeration, electrical and plumbing blueprints.
Valid driver’s license.
Good drivingrecord.
Ability to pump down all refrigerationsystems andreclaim refrigerant from all types of systems.
Good communicationand presentation skills and excellent customer service.
Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.

Work Environment
This job typically operates in convenience stores, grocery stores, food service and/or construction environment with need to work at heights from ladders and/or Scissor lifts. Mechanical rooms can have elevated noise levels. The position regularly works near/with refrigeration/HVAC equipment that can expose the workers to extreme cold from refrigerant and high heat from brazing operations. This role routinely works in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust. These conditions require employees to use the correct PPE and safe work practices.
Physical Demands
This position is very active and requires excellent stamina to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Employees are regularly required to walk and stand for long periods, hear, drive, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, use hands and fingers, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
