The Mechanical Control Units Design Engineer will develop control system hardware requirements and oversee the design, validation, and verification processes with suppliers. They will also coordinate efforts between internal teams and suppliers to ensure program requirements are met while managing technical, cost, and schedule risks.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with at least one year of experience, or a higher degree. Applicants must be US citizens capable of obtaining and maintaining a security clearance.

The Mechanical Control Units Design Engineer will develop control system hardware requirements, then guide Rolls-Royce approved suppliers through the detailed design process to ensure that delivered hardware meets all technical and program requirements. The role will span the project lifecycle from requirements definition, concept development, detail component design, validation, and verification testing through final production release. The Design Engineer will interface with both the external suppliers and the internal engine program teams.
