The Network Engineer will design, install, and maintain enterprise-wide networking infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls. They are responsible for troubleshooting network performance, documenting network events, and overseeing the integration of cyber training network environments.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in network engineering, including Layer 1 connectivity and TACLANEs configuration. An active TS/SCI clearance and IAT Level II Security Certification are required for this position.
Description
Command Post Technologies (CPT) has an immediate opening for a Network Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO. The selected candidate will establish network information requirements in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale networking infrastructure (CAN, WAN). Designs architecture to include the software, hardware and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. They will analytically and systematically evaluate problems of workflows and network usage and develop appropriate corrective action.
Requirements
- Establishing Layer 1 connectivity between networking devices (Cat 5 and fiber)
- Troubleshooting Layer 1 connections with Fluke or optical testers
- Working with media converters
- Configuring TACLANEs, especially the KG-175 series
