Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in commercial, military, or industrial electrical systems and power production. A valid Colorado Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent military certification is preferred.

The Power Production Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and code-compliant installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power generation and distribution systems supporting mission-critical infrastructure at USAFA. This includes airfield lighting, fire alarms, lightning protection, and cathodic protection systems. The role requires advanced technical expertise, field leadership, and coordination with base personnel to ensure uninterrupted power and system reliability across the installation.
