Provides inspection reports to determine adherence to drawings, specifications, processing procedures and adequacy of the facility to ensure quality of manufactured product by use of CMMs and other applicable measurement equipment. Provides required dimensional results for completion of PPAP process for new tooling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform first article inspections/layouts meeting PPAP and SCR requirements to validate new tooling and tooling modifications.
Create detailed work instruction for inspectors to measure critical dimensions during production.
Perform capability studies for IQ/OQ/PQ requirements.
Perform Gage R & R studies

QualificationsRequired Competencies, Skills and Experience
Minimum five (5) years proven experience
Knowledge of general measurement equipment (gage pins, micrometers, Vernier, calipers, drop indicator, etc.)
PCDMIS experience preferred
OGP Smartscope experience preferred
Print reading, GD&T Standards required
Proficient MS Office skills
Fixture development and datum structure understanding
CMM programming skills required
Education and Job Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred
Work Environment
Regularly required to sit and use hands
Occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with a potential of up to 25 pounds.
Sedentary, office environment; frequent exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, etc) and following good manufacturing practices.
