The Senior Piping Stress Engineer provides technical support by performing complex engineering calculations, designs, and evaluations for nuclear piping systems. They are also responsible for monitoring staff work, managing project budgets and schedules, and ensuring all deliverables meet client requirements.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural/Civil Engineering and possess at least 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in ASME piping codes and experience with piping design and analysis software are required.
The Piping Engineering & Analysis discipline performs evaluations for piping systems in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.7, and other codes as applicable to the specific evaluation being performed. The Piping Engineering & Analysis discipline also performs the following specialty topics.
Provides senior-level technical support by performing a variety of engineering tasks such as preparing and reviewing calculations and designs of a complex nature. On a task basis, is responsible for the preparation and completion of discipline engineering designs that are responsive to project needs. Monitors the work of assigned staff to ensure requirements are met.
