D&L Electric's team of seasoned professionals are committed to offering the most reliable services and systems to meet client needs from commercial lighting and new construction, to power distribution systems, tenant build outs, general electrical installations and more. We are looking for a best in class HSE Specialist willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for the field.

What you will do…
Maintain open and proactive communication with staff, clients, project managers, and management regarding safety matters
Lead and facilitate safety communications programs, including toolbox talks, safety committees, and lunch-and-learn
Enforce Company HSE policy at each management level to ensure compliance
Develop site-specific safety plans in collaboration with project management teams
Attend job site meetings and safety walks as required
Conduct on-site weekly safety audits and safety observations; identify hazards, and initiate improvements
Ensure job site team members are adhering to safety protocols and procedures with strong focus on electrical safety, fall protection safety, and driver safety
Manage the procurement and logistics of safety equipment across multiple client locations
Prepare all safety-related reports and documentation including incident investigation, safety audits, and safety plans
Participate in coaching and disciplinary actions related to safety as necessary
Respond calmly to unplanned situations, ensuring effective communication with relevant parties
Stay informed about evolving safety trends, regulations, and legislation
What you will need to succeed…
7+ years of related experience
NFPA 70E electrical background, knowledge and hands-on experience of Arc flash boundary requirements and Arc Flash PPE are required
Knowledgeable in OSHA, safe work practices, PPE, Confined Space, LOTO, Hot Work, Fall Protection, electrical safety and scissor lift regulations and compliance
CPR/First Aid certified; additional certifications (MAWPs, PIT, ASP, OSHA 10, 30, and 500) are highly desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet navigation
Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, maintaining a professional demeanor
Ability to manage and lead entry level to senior safety personnel
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Bachelor's degree in environmental, Health, or Safety discipline preferred but not required
Travel may involve working on job sites for extended periods, some assignments may last several months
