Job Summary
The salary range for this position is $260,000 to $285,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, and internal equity.

Qualifications
Salem Hospital, a member of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our inpatient psychiatry team. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to children and adolescents while working within one of New England's most respected integrated healthcare systems.
As a member of our multidisciplinary behavioral health team, you will provide comprehensive inpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for pediatric and adolescent patients experiencing acute mental health conditions. You will collaborate with nursing, psychology, social work, case management, and medical specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while helping shape the future of behavioral health services on the North Shore.
What You'll Do
Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents admitted to the inpatient psychiatric unit.
Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices.
Conduct psychiatric assessments, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning.
Lead multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborate with behavioral health clinicians, nursing staff, therapists, social workers, and care coordinators.
Partner with patients and families to develop safe discharge plans and ensure continuity of care.
Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives that promote patient safety, clinical excellence, and outstanding patient outcomes.
Supervise and teach medical students, residents, and other learners as appropriate.
Foster a culture of compassion, professionalism, collaboration, and respect throughout the department.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration.
Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered, family-focused care.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
