The Research Administrator assists faculty and staff with the preparation, submission, and management of research proposals and awards. They also handle contract negotiations, ensure compliance with federal and university regulations, and facilitate project close-out processes.
Candidates must have a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A firm commitment to the mission of BYU and strong interpersonal and technical skills are required.

Research Administrators in the Sponsored Projects Office (SPO) assist faculty and staff with the mechanics of preparing research proposals through internal approvals (via Kuali Research) and submitted to the sponsor. Upon award, they represent the university in research contract negotiations and facilitate award setup. They coordinate any contractual needs during the course of each project and ensure close-out requirements are met.
