Every afternoon, teens need a place where they feel connected, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. As the Site Coordinator, After School, Beyond the Bell, High School, you'll lead a dynamic after school program where young people build leadership skills, prepare for college and careers, explore new interests, and develop meaningful relationships with trusted adults and peers. You'll coach and support a team of Program Leaders, partner closely with school administrators and families, and create engaging club based experiences that empower teens to take ownership of their learning and personal growth. If you're passionate about developing future leaders, mentoring Team Members, and creating opportunities that help teens discover what's possible, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact every school day. This is a full-time, year-round, grant-funded position supporting high school students through engaging after school programming.
How You'll Make an Impact
Lead a high quality after school program where teens feel connected, challenged, and empowered to succeed. Coach, mentor, and support a team of YMCA Team Members to deliver engaging club based experiences focused on leadership, college and career readiness, workforce development, and positive youth development. Build strong relationships with school administrators, families, and community partners to strengthen the program and expand opportunities for teens. Create meaningful opportunities that encourage youth voice, leadership, teamwork, and a lasting sense of belonging. Help ensure the program operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with YMCA and grant requirements while fostering a positive culture for youth and Team Members.

Site Coordinators typically work Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. During the school year, the schedule supports daily program operations, staff leadership, and school partnerships. Paid training, professional development, and occasional evening or weekend events are required throughout the year. During school intersessions and summer, full-time work continues through YMCA youth programs, including summer day camp and other seasonal opportunities.
Who We're Looking For
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys leading others, building authentic relationships, and helping teens prepare for their future. The ideal candidate is an engaging leader who can inspire both youth and Team Members while creating an environment where high school students feel respected, supported, and encouraged to discover their potential.
