The Head Coach is responsible for leading structured sports and athletic-development programming while managing assistant coaches and site operations. They must ensure high-quality instruction, maintain student safety, and communicate effectively with school leadership and UFIT administration.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of coaching or athletic leadership experience and a strong competitive sports background. A demonstrated ability to mentor staff and teach age-appropriate athletic progressions is required, along with reliable transportation for travel within Los Angeles County.

UFIT is looking for experienced Head Coaches with strong collegiate, professional, or high-level competitive sports backgrounds to lead our school-based sports and athletic-development programs throughout Los Angeles County.
We are especially interested in former NCAA Division I and Division II athletes and coaches, professional athletes, collegiate coaches, and proven high-level competitive coaches who can bring real athletic knowledge, leadership, discipline, and mentorship to young people.
But athletic experience alone is not enough.
A UFIT Head Coach must be able to lead a complete program, develop other coaches, teach athletes, communicate with school leadership, solve problems, and take ownership of the quality of the site.

As a UFIT Head Coach, you are the on-site leader responsible for both coaching quality and team performance.

UFIT uses sports, physical education, athletic development, and technology to improve students’ physical, social, and emotional development.
Our programs connect students with experienced coaches and create opportunities for students to see sports beyond their immediate environment—including exposure to college athletics, collegiate campuses, advanced sports development, and UFIT’s College to Sports pathway.
We believe students should have access to coaches who know what high-level athletics looks like and can show them what is possible.
