Description
The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is committed to attracting world-class faculty to advance the School’s mission to educate visionary nurse leaders and scholars, generate and apply knowledge, and transform nursing, health, and systems of health care within the local and global community. We welcome candidates for faculty who can contribute to the excellence of our academic community.
Specifically, we are seeking applications for clinical track faculty to advance our teaching and scholarship mission. We invite applications from doctorally-prepared individuals with experience as nurse educators and focused area of educational or clinical scholarship. We are seeking individuals who can teach across a wide array of clinical areas at the pre-licensure level and for individuals who have certification and current or recent practice as advanced practice registered nurses (APRN’s). Priority will be given to individuals who can teach across programs and/or have demonstrated expertise as educators in higher education.
As an integral part of the Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center of Emory University, the School of Nursing is a nationally ranked leader in nursing education and practice. The School offers educational programs across the spectrum of nursing education as well as other health professions including a master of science in cardiovascular perfusion program. We provide a creative and energetic environment where clinical track faculty can build a career with national impact. Clinical track faculty engage in collaborative relationships with Emory’s strong interdisciplinary initiatives in: Cardiovascular Health, Data Science, Omics and Genetics/Genomics, Neuroscience, and Palliative Care. The School provides many other interdisciplinary collaborative opportunities, including with colleagues in Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health, Emory’s College of Arts and Sciences, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Appointments may be made with the titles of Clinical Instructor and Senior Clinical or the ranks of Assistant Clinical Professor, Associate Clinical Professor, or Full Clinical Professor, commensurate with academic and clinical credentials and teaching experience.
Candidates for consideration as Associate Professor or Professor should have an established track record as an educator with demonstrated excellence in teaching as well as research/scholarship. A track record of peer-reviewed publication is required to hold a ranked faculty title (Assistant Clinical Professor or higher). Candidates who are nurses must hold or be eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia. Apply online by providing current CV, cover letter describing specific interest, and contact information for three references.
