The Americas Data Platform GBB organization exists to provide scarce database and modernization expertise that accelerates customer transformation, enables field execution, drives Azure database growth, and serves as Microsoft's feedback loop between customers, the field, engineering, and GTM.

Create reusable intellectual property, playbooks, assessment frameworks, and modernization methodologies that scale across the field.
Share technical expertise, industry trends, and competitive insights to improve readiness and customer impact.
Drive technical capability and modernization excellence through knowledge-sharing and field enablement initiatives.
Establish and promote best practices that improve solution quality, adoption, and business results.
Act as the voice of customers and the field by providing structured feedback to engineering, product groups, and go-to-market teams.
Influence product roadmaps, engineering priorities, and go-to-market investments through insights gathered from customer engagements.
Translate customer and market insights into recommendations that enhance product strategy, execution, and business performance.
Leverage customer feedback and market intelligence to accelerate innovation, improve competitiveness, and strengthen Microsoft's data and AI platform leadership.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technical solution architecture and enterprise sales, business development, strategic consulting, technical consulting, or relevant/prioritized industry (e.g., Finance, Healthcare, Retail) OR equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technical solution architecture and enterprise sales, business development, strategic consulting, technical consulting, or relevant/prioritized industry (e.g., Finance, Healthcare, Retail) OR equivalent experience.
Relevant technical certification(s) in cloud technologies, solution architecture, or related domain (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) or equivalent industry certification.
Additional Information:
This role primarily supports customers and stakeholders located in the Western United States. Candidates located within the region may be better positioned to align with customer engagement needs, stakeholder collaboration, and business rhythms.
Solution Sales Advisory IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $107,600 - $187,500 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,600 - $205,600 per year.
This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
