The Emergency Room Technician performs clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKG testing under the direction of RNs and MDs. They also assist with patient flow, room sanitation, and stocking supplies to ensure an efficient clinical environment.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid EMT, CRT, or Paramedic certification. A minimum of one year of related experience and current CPR certification are required.
High school or GED. Graduate from an accredited Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Cardiac Rescue Technician (CRT), or Paramedic program.
