The Ophthalmic Technician assists physicians by performing clinical intake, conducting a wide range of diagnostic vision screenings, and supporting minor surgical procedures. They are also responsible for managing clinical inventory and ensuring the readiness of examination rooms.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and at least one year of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician. COA certification is required or must be obtained within two years of hire.

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role as an assistant to our physicians. You will be cross trained to perform a range of administrative and clinical duties. These duties include preparing the patient to see the physician, preparing examination rooms, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning, and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures.
