Serve as a patient advocate, meetingwith patients in-personatbedside, to assesseligibility forfinancialassistanceprograms.
Engage patients via phone outreachtofacilitatetheircooperation andsupport the completion of required screenings and documentation.
Guide patients through complexapplication processesfor programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, and hospital charity care, ensuringtimelysubmission ofaccuratedocumentation.
Collaborateand build relationshipsacrossteams, actingas aliaisonbetween patients, hospital staff, and government agencies tosecure coverageand resolveeligibilityissues.
Manage a high case load effectively,prioritizing tasks, following up on pending applications, and meetingdeadlineswhile also adhering to productivity and quality expectations(KPIs).
Communicate with clarity and empathy, explainingfinancialresponsibilities andassistanceoptions in ways that patients can understand.
Maintainaccurateand confidentialrecords, ensuringcompliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Use multiple systems and toolsto document, track, andreport onpatientinformation.
Support operationalneeds, including providing limited staffing coverage at nearby hospital locations as needed.
Complete special projects, as assigned.
WhatWe’reLookingFor:

1+yearsof experience in a customer-facing role(financial counseling,healthcare, social services, or similar environments preferred).
