The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. The Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Security and Sustainability (CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable, on-time performance and optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Lead cross-functional teams to drive implementation of strategic projects: from defining plan, monitoring progress, tracking KPI to delivering results and institutionalizing.
Partner with Supply Chain, Sourcing and Engineering teams to ensure supply chain resiliency is built-in at product launch, with diversified supply base and geography.
Lead communications with exec and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, ensure execution and report progress.
Engage with cross-functional teams on supply chain and sourcing related initiatives, e.g., sustainability, government policy.
Serve as trusted advisor and support other Supply Chain and Sourcing teams on fact-based analysis and communication material development.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 3+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in high-tech supply chain or sourcing.
2+ years of experience in management consulting, supply chain strategy, or corporate strategy.
Experience in leading strategy projects involving cross-functional teams. MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain is a plus.
Experience in owning exec-level communications.
Demonstrated capability in driving analysis, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
Passionate not only in defining strategic agenda, but also in driving execution and delivering results.
Ability to influence and build lasting relationships.
Business Strategy IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
