We Go Beyond for A Safer World
Te Tūranga - The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Services Owner to join our team, based in Christchurch.
As our Training Services Owner, you'll be responsible for shaping and growing Tait's global training services portfolio, ensuring our customers and dealer partners have access to engaging, high-quality learning experiences that build capability and drive business success. You'll lead the strategy, roadmap, and ongoing evolution of our online learning platform and training offerings, creating scalable solutions that support customers around the world.
Working closely with the Services Portfolio Manager and key stakeholders across the business, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end training experience—from identifying market opportunities and defining future service offerings through to enabling regional teams to successfully deliver training as a service. You'll balance customer needs, commercial outcomes, and operational excellence while leading a talented New Zealand-based team responsible for learning platform management and content development.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys thinking strategically, influencing globally, and turning ideas into impactful services that create real value for customers, partners, and the business.
Ō pūkenga - About You
You're a strategic and commercially minded leader who understands how to build and grow services that deliver meaningful customer outcomes. You have experience owning a product, service, platform, or capability roadmap and thrive on translating market insights, customer needs, and business priorities into practical, scalable solutions.
You'll bring:
Experience leading the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of training, learning, service, or product offerings.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and regions.
Experience leading and developing teams, creating an environment where people can do their best work.
A customer-centric mindset and the ability to use data and feedback to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Commercial acumen, including experience developing business cases, brining new offerings to market, and managing revenue-generating offerings.
Experience enabling others to deliver services successfully, such as through partner networks, train-the-trainer models, or regional capability programmes.
A passion for creating exceptional customer experiences and delivering outcomes that align with strategic business goals.
Experience within technology, telecommunications, technical training, or a related industry would be highly regarded. Knowledge of critical communications environments would be an advantage but is not essential.
We are an employer that is committed to making a difference for families and communities and supporting people to build rewarding careers. We achieve this through employing people who connect with our Values (Commitment to listen. Courage to Act and Integrity to Deliver) that underpin our way of working together. We are committed to investing in our people, developing both individuals and teams to support a high-performance culture.
We prioritise your wellbeing through health insurance after 12 months, annual flu vaccinations and extra sick leave in your first year.
We provide a comfortable work environment through modern office facilities with free onsite parking, gym, and café.
We recognise your commitment through long service benefits.
We balance work with fun through our active social club!
