We're a successful and forward-thinking accounting and business advisory firm, working with a wide range of clients across the Waikato region. We're looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our hardworking team in Hamilton, providing hands-on support to our Partners.
We work with a wide range of clients, providing personalised advice built on genuine independence and close client contact. This role suits someone who's genuinely client-focused and comfortable being a reliable point of contact and support while the Partner is out seeing clients.
We are open to applications from candidates looking for 32-40 hours per week.
Your role, your contribution
Produce financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies
Preparation of management reports
Prepare cash flow forecasts to help clients plan cash-based transactions and meet their financial commitments
Consistently deliver quality accountancy services with efficiency and accuracy, helping clients understand their tax liabilities and due dates well in advance so they can plan ahead
Work with a range of leading accounting software systems, helping clients get the most out of their system for their business needs
Build genuine relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact and supporting the Partner's client base day to day

Proven accounting experience within public practice
CA or CPA qualification, or working towards this (desirable)
Experience across a broad range of tax, accounting and business matters

Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
