Job Overview:
The Specification Consultant will be responsible for specification activity with different stakeholders in the building industry, with key focus being on Commercial (Office) real estate segment.

The person will be responsible for growing sales by creating awareness and generating demand by specifying Somfy solutions right from the design stage of projects. The person should have consultative selling approach and an engaging communication skill.    

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pipeline generation:
   • Identify and qualify key projects in commercial segment suitable for Somfy solutions.
   • Track and manage enquiry progress from concept to sales, by managing enquiry database on Sales Force CRM.
   • Analyse pipeline and ensure healthy conversion rate.
2. Specifier Network engagement:
   • Develop a resilient network of promoter-specifier and developer accounts, ensuring recurring specification of motorization and Somfy solutions in client projects.
   • High level of engagement is required with different stakeholders, Architects, Designers, PMCs, Developers and Lighting Consultants.  
   • Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, knowledge sharing sessions, and other engagement activities. Provide design and specification creation support.  
3. Planning and Execution:
   • Follow a comprehensive activity plan to optimize time allocation for prospecting, client engagements, and providing service.
   • Planning of activities to cover 4 to 5 accounts per day.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration:
   • Coordinate with different functions – Technical Services, Marketing, and Sales Team and leverage their respective functional expertise for securing prospective enquiries.
   • Provide inputs to different functions for continuous improvement and customer service.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience: 7-10 years of experience in the building construction industry.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with building products, services, and stakeholders.
• Skills:
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with specifiers and clients.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and familiarity with digital engagement tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Technical aptitude to interpret and convey product specifications to diverse audiences.
