Our Purpose: As the Cradle of American Golf, we honor timeless traditions and inspire legendary stories, one smile, one round, one moment at a time. Pinehurst Resort, located in Village of Pinehurst, NC, is a world class and historic golf destination that also provides premier meeting and event amenities. Best known as The Cradle of American Golf, Pinehurst has hosted more single golf championships than any site in the United States and named as the U.S. Open's First Anchor Site. Pinehurst has served as the host of the U.S. Open in 1999, 2005, 2014 and 2024, with four more major championships scheduled through 2047. The U.S. Women's Open, played here in 2014, returns in 2029. Opened in 1895 to offer guests a place to gather and enjoy the pine-scented outdoors, today Pinehurst blends the modern luxury of the 2,200-acre property with grand hotels, meeting space to accommodate up to 1,000, championship golf, and an exceptional spa. Easily accessed via Raleigh-Durham Airport (70 miles north), Pinehurst is located in the beautiful Sandhills of North Carolina.
