The Receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors, managing incoming calls, and providing exceptional customer service in a welcoming environment. They also perform various clerical duties, including mail distribution, inventory management, and assisting with resident-related administrative tasks.
Candidates must have completed Grade 12 and possess proficiency in Microsoft Office software and typing. Previous experience in a long-term care or similar setting is considered an asset.

Under the supervision of the Administrative Manager, Receptionists are responsible for greeting visitors and delivering exceptional customer service assistance. This entails answering calls and fielding them, accordingly, addressing visitor questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment and other clerical duties
The Receptionist is required to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the Salvation Army Meighen Health Centre’s core values, ensure resident safety, and demonstrate customer service excellence while responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and services provided to the residents.
The Receptionist position at the Meighen Retirement Residence reports to the Administrative Manager.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
