The Cook is responsible for preparing healthy, balanced meals for 30-40 residents following Canadian Food Guide standards. They must maintain a sanitary kitchen environment and manage food inventory and ordering.
Requires a cooking diploma or equivalent experience, a food safety certificate, and at least one year of experience cooking for groups. A valid driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification, and a recent criminal history check are also mandatory.

The Cook is a team member of the Wiseman Centre, a faith-based shelter, who is responsible to provide healthy well balanced meals to residents of The Wiseman Centre.
Execution of Position
The primary focus of the Cook is to ensure the provision of balanced meals as per the menu which follows the Canadian Food Guide standards. The Cook is responsible for the safe handling and cooking of food as per the Canadian Food safe guidelines.
9:30AM-5:30PM
This is a casual position.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
