The role involves developing and documenting liquidity stress testing methodologies and assumptions for internal and regulatory frameworks. It also requires collaborating with technology and risk teams to implement these methodologies and presenting findings to senior management and regulators.
Candidates need a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field and 4-5 years of relevant experience in treasury or risk analytics within a bank. Proficiency in financial modeling and knowledge of liquidity regulations like Reg WW and Reg YY are essential.
The individual will be part of the Liquidity Methodology and Analytics team within the Global Liquidity Management (GLM) function, which is part of State Street’s Global Treasury (GT) department.
The GLM team is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective liquidity management and liquidity risk management frameworks and processes globally across all lines of business and legal entities within State Street. The GLM team ensures proper measurement, reporting and monitoring of liquidity risks across the firm in line with regulatory expectations and established internal risk appetite. The GLM team partners with stakeholders from business, risk, data, and technology teams as well as the firm’s Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) to drive initiatives that improves State Street’s liquidity position and liquidity risk management practices. The GLM team also interfaces with regulators and industry groups on liquidity matters.
