The credit controller is responsible for monitoring and reporting on overdue premiums while liaising with underwriting teams to ensure timely settlement. They will manage aged debt, perform cash allocation, and prepare weekly reports for senior management.
Candidates must have experience in London Market credit control and intermediate Excel skills, including v-lookups and pivot tables. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role.
Role Purpose
The primary focus of a credit controller at Starr is to chase, monitor and report on overdue premium owed to Starr whilst liaising with the underwriting teams to ensure maximum efforts are taken to receive settlement. You will make use of internal and external systems to ensure terms are met by Brokers, to reduce aged debt and maximise cashflow, by adhering to Company procedures . Weekly reports will be prepared for senior management, and relationships built with internal and external stakeholders.
