Perform general building repairs including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks to keep facilities in good working order. Coordinate with licensed contractors for larger projects and maintain a safe environment for staff and clients.
Requires a high school diploma and 2-3 years of hands-on maintenance experience. Must possess valid F-80 and S-95 certifications and be able to work independently.
Samaritan Daytop Village operates over 60 facilities across NYC, Westchester, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley, providing a wide range of human services to more than 38,000 New Yorkers annually. The Maintenance Worker keeps the building facilities in good working order by performing basic repairs, checking equipment, handling small fixes in areas like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, and helping with snow removal when needed. Candidates should have general building maintenance skills and hands‑on experience independently making regular day-to-day repairs preferably within a residential facility.
This is a full-time non-exempt role with an hourly rate of $21.97-$24.51 (annualized at 35 hours a week to $40,000-$44,626) with a full benefits package. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 25 days of paid time off, access to a retirement account with an employer match, tuition reimbursement and daily pay.
This role is located in Ellenville, NY and has a schedule of Sunday-Thursday 9am-5pm.
