Candidates must be able to read construction drawings and work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods. While previous construction experience is preferred, it is not required as the company provides comprehensive training.

Ontivity supports all aspects of telecommunication installations including the construction and maintenance of telecommunications towers and structures.
As a Civil Foreman at Ontivity, you will be part of constructing and maintaining critical infrastructure that connects America. We provide in-house training, certifications, and the newest tools and equipment. All levels of experience are encouraged to apply even if you are brand new to the industry.
New team members coming in should expect a two-day orientation where you will go through required training and basic certifications before stepping onto the jobsite. After your orientation and company provided tools/equipment are assigned to you, you will mobilize to site with your crew in a company provided crew truck and work Monday through Friday each week to complete assigned jobs. There may be times that require your crew to travel continuously for up to (4) weeks at a time.
For your first 90 days you will shadow other Foremen/Construction Manager and begin to learn all aspects of the trade/role. This is a probationary period for you to see if Ontivity is a good fit for you and if you are a good fit for Ontivity. After 90 days a performance review will be conducted with wage increase, and an advancement road map laid out.

Responsibilities
Must value safety over and above all other considerations.
Participate in daily JHA/tailgate meetings with crew.
Lead crew in completing jobs in a safe and efficient manner. This includes running equipment for trenching, foundation excavations, and roadway installs, installing rebar, pouring foundations, installing grounding systems and utility conduits, taking photos for close out documentation, and running test equipment.
Stay up to date on assigned training and certifications.
Assist with maintenance of vehicles and equipment, tool inventory, etc.
Qualifications:
Able to read and interpret construction drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
Willing to work as part of a team and independently under limited supervision.
Provide communication and customer service that is both professional and courteous.
Provide cold weather gear and basic hand tools for yourself.
Previous construction or mechanical experience is preferred but not required.
Valid CDL, OSHA 10, and OSHA 30 are preferred but not required at time of hire.
Strong leadership skills.
Physical Demands:
Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license.
Able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background, drug testing, DOT physical, and MVR.
Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather while performing work for long periods of time. Typical work weeks range from 60 to 80 hours a week.
May require travel for up to (4) weeks at a time.
