Our Water for the Environment Branch in Conservation Programs, Heritage and Regulation Group is currently seeking to appoint a Team Leader, MER Coordination to lead the delivery of monitoring, evaluation and reporting (MER) for environmental water programs.
In this role, you will lead the coordination of monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities for environmental water programs, ensuring high-quality analysis, reporting and evidence-based insights to inform decision making. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to assess program performance, interpret complex data, and deliver clear advice and reporting that supports compliance with legislation and improves environmental outcomes across rivers, wetlands and floodplains.
You are an experienced leader with strong technical expertise in environmental water, river and wetland management, and a proven ability to deliver monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities within complex programs. You bring strong analytical capability and experience translating complex scientific and technical information into clear, practical insights and advice. With a sound understanding of policy and legislative frameworks, you are confident managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative and proactive leader, you build effective relationships with stakeholders across government, industry and the community. You bring strong communication, project management and team leadership skills, and are able to guide and develop staff while driving continuous improvement, innovation and evidence-based decision making.
