Are you an experienced project professional who thrives on complexity, stakeholder engagement, and delivering outcomes that leave a lasting legacy?
We're seeking a Senior Project Officer, Major Infrastructure to help unlock the potential of Crown land across New South Wales. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of infrastructure, housing, land activation, and community development, partnering with Local Aboriginal Land Councils, local government, industry, and government agencies to create sustainable opportunities for communities.
The role
You’ll support end‑to‑end delivery of major infrastructure projects that activate Crown land and create better outcomes for communities. The role involves planning and coordinating projects, managing budgets and timelines, and working closely with both private and government proponents, local councils, Aboriginal Land Councils and other stakeholders to resolve complex land use issues.
You’ll balance competing priorities and stakeholders while keeping projects on track and meeting quality standards. You will engage regularly with proponents to keep them informed of legislative obligations, challenges to be worked through and ensure realistic expectations are maintained throughout. Success comes from strong relationships, clear communication and your ability to navigate complexity to deliver practical, community-focused solutions.

What is an essential requirement:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent industry or professional experience in the relevant area
This role requires extensive travel within NSW and a current NSW Driver’s Licence.
