On-going, full-time opportunity (35 hours per week)
Parramatta or other NSW DPHI office location by negotiation with flexible working arrangement supported.
Clerk Grade 7/8 ($116,981- $129,492)
In this role, you will help ensure that as communities grow, the natural environments that support and enrich our lives are thoughtfully considered and protected. Working alongside experienced biodiversity professionals, you'll contribute to the assessment of development and infrastructure proposals, helping to inform decisions that balance environmental outcomes with the needs of current and future communities. Through your work, you'll play a part in protecting the plants, animals and natural landscapes that people value and depend on every day.
Cares deeply about biodiversity and the role it plays in creating healthy, sustainable communities.
Brings experience or a strong foundation in ecology, environmental science or biodiversity assessment, and is eager to continue developing their expertise.
Has a curious and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret information, identify insights and contribute to sound technical advice.
Values collaboration and enjoys working with others to solve complex environmental challenges and achieve positive outcomes.
Communicates clearly and thoughtfully, adapting technical information for different audiences.

Essential requirements
Degree qualification in a related relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience e.g., Bachelor of Environmental Science (Conservation/Sustainability) or Bachelor of Science (Biology/Ecology).
