The Program Coordinator II supports grant administrative projects for the homeland security team, ensuring federal and state funds are disseminated correctly. Key duties include providing technical assistance to subrecipients, monitoring spending, and ensuring compliance with policy directives.
Applicants must have at least three years of professional experience in business or public administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Massachusetts driver's license and proficiency in MS Office are required.
The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) is the state administering agency for federal funds received from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Department of Justice. OGR also administers millions in state criminal justice funding received from the Massachusetts legislature. This Program Coordinator II position is being offered to support the grant administrative projects assigned to the homeland security team within the OGR. Such individual will ensure that funds are disseminated as approved by the federal government, provide programmatic and technical support as needed to subrecipients and other relevant grant administrative tasks so that all deliverables are accomplished.
Please note, the OGR reserves the right to assign staff to where the work resides; either within the division one is placed when hired or to another division that has a greater need.

This position requires possession of a motor vehicle operator's license that is current and valid in Massachusetts
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.*
II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*
III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
