Requirements

Essential Duties

• Learn about MASS Tech’s work in AI, manufacturing, digital tools, and sustainability.
  
• Support basic research on companies, industries, technologies, and customer needs.
  
• Help prepare simple documents, checklists, presentations, and project notes.
  
• Assist with testing simple business applications, websites, forms, or dashboards.
  
• Help organize project information, meeting notes, and task lists.
  
• Support marketing and communication activities when needed.
  
• Participate in team check-ins and follow instructions from the assigned supervisor.
  
• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and respectful communication.
  
• Track internship hours for the Career Jumpstart / CTE Internship credit requirement.
  
• Other duties may be assigned based on student interest and business needs.
  

Student Qualifications

• Current high school student selected through the GCS Career Jumpstart Program.
  
• Interest in technology, business, manufacturing, AI, engineering, sustainability, or entrepreneurship.
  
• Willingness to learn and ask questions.
  
• Basic computer skills, including email, internet research, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or PowerPoint.
  
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
  
• Dependable, respectful, and able to complete assigned tasks on time.
  
• No prior work experience is required.
