Provides advanced support to the payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across assigned regions or business units. Requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex payroll tasks under tight deadlines. Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues, support audits, and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- SME for China, Korea & Japan Payroll - Executes payroll procedures in a timely and efficiently. - Ensures all regulatory reporting requirements for payroll taxes, withholding and employer contributions are met. - Trains junior payroll team members and new recruits to the team. - Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. - Acts as subject matter expert for payroll legislation and taxes in all countries assigned to role. - Reconciles complex payroll matters using advanced excel skills, formulas and macros. - Reconciles and signs off on payroll completion for countries they manage.
Qualifications & Experience: - Degree or equivalent and / or relevant qualification. - Experience in appropriate payroll specialist area.
