Full job description
AML/KYC Data & Analytics team sits within the AML/KYC Governance and Oversight organization, independently driving delivery against team objectives, supporting business outcomes, and working collaboratively across teams—while consistently demonstrating the risk, control, and conduct standards expected at JPMorganChase. As a Business Analyst within the AML/KYC Governance and Oversight Data Analytics team, you will partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear requirements and deliver high-quality analytics and reporting that support AML/KYC governance, oversight, and compliance objectives.
As a AML/KYC Associate you will analyze and resolve data discrepancies, perform validation/cleansing/reconciliation using SQL and Alteryx, and build and maintain Tableau dashboards that provide actionable insights and visibility into delivery progress. The role also includes data mapping responsibilities—helping define and document how data elements flow from source to report, organizing datasets and definitions to improve consistency, and supporting well-structured project execution through strong planning, prioritization, and stakeholder communication.
A successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated analyst with strong execution skills and demonstrated experience managing a diverse suite of analyses. In addition, this role will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, proposing enhancements, and collaborating across teams to strengthen processes, governance outcomes, and overall execution quality.
Job Responsibilities:
Build and manage partnerships with key AML/KYC Governance and Oversight stakeholders and AML/KYC product groups, grounded in a strong understanding of business drivers, underlying data, and processes.
Manage multiple deliverables focused on gaining insight into various issues and questions that often arise through current processes, as well as enhancing existing processes.
Analyze customer transactions and data from a variety of sources to better understand customer KYC journeys and data requirements.
Support the creation of dashboards and visualizations to measure the impact of implemented programs and provide management with self-service tools to analyze and report on current trends of key metrics.
Prepare and deliver presentations summarizing insights and conclusions, often for executives.
Use analytical skills such as trend analysis, segmentation, optimization, and other techniques to improve business function performance.
Collaborate with the Business SMEs to formulate data strategies and solutions for business needs.
Help KYC programs by providing data and analytics leadership across the organization.
Contribute to business cases, construct test designs, and identify populations for pilot programs; analyze program performance and derive insights to help inform future customer strategies.
Embrace a growth and learning mindset; curious and creative; collaborative, team-oriented and client-focused; motivated by business and technical challenges.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
2 years of related experience.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field required.
Hands-on experience with standard data analytics tools and technologies (SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Alteryx, Hadoop, Trifacta, Teradata)
Familiarity with data mining, statistical modeling, machine learning and other advanced analytics methods.
Effective communication skills to enable collaboration, decision-making, and transparency, with great presentation skills.
Entrepreneurial drive, ability to analyze problems, and design solutions with relevant stakeholders to influence and gain buy-in across various job functions.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage and deliver in an innovation-driven and fast-paced environment.
Experience with ICDW or other Chase data sources are strongly preferred.
Experience with AML/KYC/Controls preferred.
Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation (Tableau preferred).
Basic skills with JIRA, Confluence.
Familiarity with Cloud (AWS, Snowflake, Teradata) based data solutions and tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
