Full job description
Senior Change Manager (Global FCFP Business Execution)
Ready to lead strategic change across a global, high-impact portfolio?
As a Senior Change Manager within GFCFP Business Execution, you operate at the heart of ING’s global strategy execution. You lead and shape strategic change initiatives that are critical to ING’s Financial Crime Prevention agenda, ensuring that complex, cross-border transformation programs are delivered timely, effectively and in line with ING’s regulatory and business priorities.
Together with the designated teams, CoE Lead and senior stakeholders, you share collective responsibility for identifying, managing and monitoring Financial Crime risks, and for leading the implementation of related strategic change programs across business lines, countries, functions and the three lines of defence.
The team You will be part of the Business Execution team within the global Data, Delivery and AI Transformation domain, working closely with senior stakeholders across Business, Delivery, Risk, Compliance and Operations. The role has a broad international scope and requires close collaboration with senior leadership across multiple domains, markets and governance forums. As such, you act as a trusted advisor to senior management, helping to ensure that delivery is aligned with ING’s strategic, regulatory and financial crime prevention priorities.
As Senior Change Manager, you report to the CoE Lead. In this role, you lead the realization of identified change initiatives by managing delivery against the underlying business case, shaping execution approaches and ensuring sustainable implementation. You also contribute to strengthening the change management capability across the CoE and project teams, supporting colleagues in becoming high-quality advisors with authority, empowerment and countervailing power. In doing so, you help build a sustainable change community across the organization.
You have a proven track record in leading strategic, global programs across business lines, countries and the three lines of defence. You bring extensive knowledge of Wholesale and/or Retail Banking, strong product and domain expertise, and senior stakeholder management experience up to MBB level. You are able to influence, challenge and align senior stakeholders in complex environments, while safeguarding ING’s ambitions in fighting financial crime.
Roles and responsibilities As an expert in the KYC and FCC domain, you lead strategic and critical projects within FCFP. You are responsible for translating strategic priorities, regulatory expectations and business needs into executable transformation plans, and for driving implementation across a complex global stakeholder landscape.
You will:
Take responsibility for the timely and effective implementation of assignments in line with the underlying business case.
Lead strategic change initiatives with global reach, spanning business lines, countries, functions and the three lines of defence.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders in the first and second line on requirement setting, implementation choices and compliance-related decisions.
Drive implementation and operating effectiveness of requirements, procedures and controls to mitigate identified risks or enable business growth, depending on the nature of the assignment.
Stay up to date with industry practices, regulatory developments and market trends, translating these into relevant insights for ING’s Financial Crime Prevention agenda.
Support the first line of defence with the adequate identification of FCC-related risks in their domain and with maintaining the risk log of the assignment.
Contribute to the further professionalisation of change management practices, capability building and knowledge sharing across the CoE and wider transformation community.
How to succeed We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you stay curious, keep learning and take ownership. In return, we support you in developing into an even stronger version of yourself.
We are looking for the following characteristics:
Academic background.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in change, transformation or program delivery, preferably in a global and complex organization.
Proven track record in leading strategic, cross-border programs involving senior stakeholders across business, risk, compliance, operations and delivery.
Strong knowledge of the FCFP, KYC and/or FCC domain, combined with product knowledge and the ability to act as a thought leader.
Excellent analytical skills and experience with complex, high-impact transformation programs.
Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging, influencing and challenging stakeholders up to MBB level and relevant external parties.
Natural persuasiveness, sound judgement and countervailing power, with the ability to speak up and steer decision-making in complex senior stakeholder environments.
Ability to inspire, motivate and coach others, helping specialists and project teams grow into positions of authority, empowerment and trusted advisory.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Strong execution discipline: you do not only start initiatives, but ensure they are delivered, embedded and completed in time and in line with the business case.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, complexity and competing priorities in a senior, international stakeholder environment.
No one matches every requirement perfectly. If this role feels like the right next step for you, we encourage you to apply.
We'd love to learn more about your leadership experience, the impact you've made and what you'd bring to the team.
