Job Summary
Manage and maintain physical and electronic records to ensure accurate, secure, and accessible information. Support compliance with retention policies and provide timely retrieval and disposition of records.

Main Duties
Develop, apply and maintain classification schemes, indexing and metadata for physical and electronic records.
Operate and update electronic document and records management systems, including data entry and document imaging.
Retrieve, file, transfer and archive records; respond to internal requests for access and reproduction of records.
Implement and monitor retention and disposition schedules; coordinate secure destruction or transfer of records.
Perform regular audits and inventories to verify records integrity and compliance with policies and regulations.
Provide guidance and training to staff on records handling, privacy, access controls and proper filing procedures.
Requirements
Secondary school diploma plus a post-secondary certificate or diploma in records management, information management, library or archival studies, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working with records management, document control, or archival systems in an office or institutional environment.
Proficiency with electronic records/document management systems and common office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, email).
Knowledge of records classification, retention scheduling, privacy and access principles, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to handle physical records including lifting and transporting boxes when required, and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
