The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for the receipt, sorting, preparation, and distribution of incoming healthcare claims and provider documentation. They must also scan, index, and track these documents while maintaining strict confidentiality of Protected Health Information.
Candidates are required to have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include 1–3 years of experience in mailroom operations, healthcare administration, or records management.

The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for supporting Claims Operations through the receipt, sorting, preparation, tracking, and distribution of incoming mail and documentation. The majority of incoming mail consists of healthcare claims, provider correspondence, medical records, and supporting documentation that must be accurately prepared for imaging and processing within the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely handling of provider submissions and requires a highly reliable, detail-oriented individual who can work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and established procedures.
The pay range for this position is $30,500.00 - $43,500.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
