SUMMARY
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for clerical duties generated by two departments. Duties include checking job reports, handling calls from customers and field crews, dispatching calls to the field, and creating work orders.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Takes calls and assists customers.
Calculates and balances daily job reports.
Logs water loss.
Logs fire hydrant and water valve repairs.
Enters main breaks and fire hydrant repairs into the R Drive.
Creates and closes work orders and scans work orders into EDocs.
Records and posts sewer complaints.
Corresponds with the public by telephone.
Enters and files daily log sheets.
Creates and closes orders on complaint system.
Dispatches and responds to radio traffic.
Sorts, logs and enters meter records.
Schedules locate for City owned utilities.
Maintains records in data bases and spreadsheets.
Works in various City owned programs such as Kronos, Hummingbird, Hanson, ARC Reader mapping.
Performs various duties of the Administrative Tech position in their absence and as needed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A High School Diploma or its equivalent is required. A minimum of two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Ability to use a personal and mainframe computer for data entry, word processing and accounting purposes.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a calculator, copier, two-way radio and multi-line telephone systems.
