The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving territorial sales targets and profitability by executing marketing strategies and managing customer relationships. They must conduct regular customer visits, maintain accurate account records, and identify new business opportunities within the public and private sectors.
Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Pharmacy. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, along with the ability to travel 80-100% of the time.

1. Job Summary/Purpose
• Role involves achieving financial targets by boosting sales in assigned territory.
• The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining good relations with all external & internal customers.
• To ensure regular customer visits as per defined norms or more frequently if required.
• Achieve territorial sales target & profitability through execution of marketing strategies & tactics.
• Plan and implement promotional activities at customer level.
• Maintain a detailed record of customer accounts (incl. key opinion leaders, Key personnel in Retail & Institutions) as per defined norms or requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of reports to manager.
2. Responsibilities
• To achieve sales target & profitability through execution of marketing strategies & tactics.
• Maintenance of Customer database.
• Analyze sales trends in territory and take corrective action wherever necessary.
• Plan and implement promotional activities at customer level.
• Identify tender/rate contract opportunities in Public sector and follow up for conversion.
• To attend conferences, participate in special events and do product presentations as per requirement.
• Attain territorial sales goals & boost profitability by implementing marketing approaches & methods.
3. Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Pharmacy
Experience : >5 years of relevant experience
Travel Requirements : 80–100%
