Job Title: Client Support Associates (CSA)
Program: North A Shelter
Location: North Sacramento
Reports To: Site Supervisor(s) or Program Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Full time shifts available - must be able to work on the weekends
Summary:
Roseville road shelter is a sanctioned place for anyone who is experiencing homelessness on the streets of Sacramento. Working as part of a team, CSAs will monitor and direct the clients in all areas of the campus. CSAs are responsible for keeping safety watch, day and night, and performing conflict resolution should issues arise. CSAs are to build a rapport and trust with clients in hopes to get them the resources and services they need in hope to end their cycle of homelessness!
The FSC North A Shelter is for adults 18 and over and the CSA staff will work mainly as client monitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Specific duties may vary based on location and shift. Other duties may be assigned.
Monitor and facilitate all clients who come in and out of the facility, including security checks to make sure weapons and drugs and/or paraphernalia are not on-site.
Monitoring and facilitating new clients to program rules and regulations.
Direct activities of the clients while at the campus location.
Keep safety watch day and night and lead conflict resolution should issues requiring intervention arise.
Assist guests when needed.
Escalate to Management’s attention any observed or suspected abuse and/or neglect of disabled individuals, dependent adults and elder/senior citizens.
Help clients access stored possessions (if any) and process their exit from the facility as required.
Distribute and serve lunch and dinner to clients on-site.
Receive, process, distribute and store donation items received from the public.
Performs facility cleaning and maintenance, which includes sanitizing and cleaning the common area(s), and showers,
Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Writes clear and legible daily activity logs and incident reports.
Perform campus and client activity monitoring as assigned.
Ability to get along and work effectively with others
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to walk in uneven terrain
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory duties.
